THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BOURBON WARRIOR was stubborn to load. Jumped awkwardly inwards leaving the stalls and lost 1 length. b) SILVER TUDOR fly-jumped leaving the stalls, lost 3 lengths and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. b) KALAHARI ROLLER stumbled leaving the starting stalls. c) Shortly after the start BEST OF ALL, which jumped awkwardly, was bumped by SILVER TUDOR leaving the starting stalls. d) Leaving the 500m MASTEROFTHEDESERT switched to the outside of HAH LAH LAH, which rolled in to continue its run. e) Apprentice D D Louw was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that as the rider of MASTEROFTHEDESERT, he misused his crop by striking this gelding more than ten times (14) in the race. Apprentice D D Louw signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R8 000. f) Jockey S Moodley reported that SILVER TUDOR did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. g) HAH LAH LAH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Kannemeyer was advised (MM). THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) SILVER TUDOR : Nothing obvious detected. SCRATCHINGS : a) Nil. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: a) None.
