THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SILVER COMET jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) MEGA AWESOME was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Work Rider S Mosia reported that he felt something amiss with STEEL PIER in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. c) Work Rider T Ncume signed an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.3 in that he failed to ride MEGA AWESOME out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, prejudicing his chance of obtaining fourth (4th) place. Work Rider T Ncume signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Work Rider race. Suspension date: 16 August 2026. d) SILVER COMET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (MS). e) ROYALE JACKET, placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
