THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) AURELIAN was stubborn loading.
b) LOOKING GOOD, PRINCESS CHANTE and QUEEN OF CASTILLE were nervous in the stalls and rushed the front gates.
c) BOSSY LADY jumped slow, losing three lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Permission was granted for AURELIAN to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
b) Permission was granted to Jockey J Gates to hack LOOKING GOOD when proceeding to the start.
c) LUCY'S WORLD shifted outwards and made slight contact with PEACEOFBEAUTY shortly after the start.
d) In view of the performance of TIPSY (Betting 7/2; Distance 7.60 lengths), the Veterinarian was requested to examine this filly.
e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding BOSSY LADY and in view of this filly's history with regard to not jumping on terms, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 30 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to jump on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 25/07/2026 to 23/08/2026, both dates inclusive). BOSSY LADY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer E Kaknis was advised.
f) Apprentice BA Makhubo (SHOOTING ARROW) appeared before the Board and his attention was drawn to the provisions of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline G on the use of the crop). He was advised not to use his crop when his mount is out of contention for a place.
g) Jockey JR Syster was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline B on the use of the crop) in that he struck QUEEN OF CASTILLE with his crop arm above shoulder height. Jockey JR Syster signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
h) REMIND ME OF YOU, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised. (LM)

b) SHOOTING ARROW - not striding out in front.
c) PEACEOFBEAUTY - scalp wound right hind.
