THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OPERA FAN stumbled leaving the stalls. b) FISH HAWK jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Leaving the 400m, SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE was tightened for galloping room when awkwardly placed on the inside of CAPE SAFFRON, which was carried in by AMERICAN BEAUTY, which rolled in. As a consequence of this, CAPE SAFFRON was switched out to continue its run. c) Jockey M Yeni was dislodged from SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE in the pull-up area. Jockey M Yeni was attended to by the course paramedics and transferred to the medical centre for further observation. This precluded Jockey M Yeni from weighing in. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. d) Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with UNITED OFFER in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Jockey G Lerena reported that VAMANOS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine f) AMERICAN BEAUTY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) UNITED OFFER blowing post-race; scalp wound left hind; mouth injury. b) VAMANOS examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. c) PRINCESS ILARIA coughing post-race. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
