THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREEN GATEWAY and LANDOFTHERISINGSUN lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) At the 300m Jockey S Moodley (ZEITZ) briefly hesitated with his riding when awkwardly placed when racing in restricted room between FIELD MARSHAL and GREEN GATEWAY. b) At the 200m GREEN GATEWAY was steadied when cramped for galloping room on the heels of ZEITZ and TALK TO THE MASTER. c) Shortly before the finish CARE FORGOT was steadied when close to the heels of LANDOFTHERISINGSUN which was directed in, away from the heels of MAJOR MASTER which hung in from the 400m and shifted in shortly before the finish. Jockey A Mgudlwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of MAJOR MASTER, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to LANDOFTHERISINGSUN (M Yeni), shortly before the finish. Jockey Mgudlwa signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in 1 race-meeting (Date to be advised). d) In view of the performances of TALK TO THE MASTER (1.05 lengths and 3/1 in the betting) and BETTER MAN (1.45 lengths and 28/10 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) Jockey C Habib was charged with a contravention of Rule 66.4 in that as the rider of GO GRAYSON GO, he weighed in more than 1kg above the weight at which he was declared out at. Jockey Habib signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1 000. f) ZEITZ, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W A Nel was advised (MM). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Jockey K de Melo (BETTER MAN) weighed out at 55.4kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : a) BETTER MAN : Fatigued. b) TALK TO THE MASTER : Not striding out right front.
