The start of this Race was delayed due to the late withdrawal of HUNGA TONGA at the start. Light rain fell during the running of this Race. THE STARTER REPORTED: 1. HUNGA TONGA refused to load. 2. DEEPEST WATER lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : 1. All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels after PRETTY KARA passed following a second test. 2. LAST CAR TO PASS and DEEPEST WATER hung in from the 450m. 3. Approaching the 300m PRETTY KARA and in turn LAST CAR TO PASS were carried in by ANOTHER DREAM, which rolled in. 4. Jockey G Lerena reported that LAST CAR TO PASS did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. 5. In view of the performance of ACT OF GRACE (10.30 lengths and 4/1 in the betting), the Veterinarian was requested to examine. 6. In view of the Starter's report with regard to HUNGA TONGA, this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. (Suspension dates: 30.07.2026 to the 05.08.2026 bdi). HUNGA TONGA may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M H Maingard was advised. 7. SPIRIT OF SHIMLA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Kannemeyer was advised (MM). THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED : 1.
