THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SIVAJI and ANGLE OF ATTACK were slow, losing one length. b) DUKE OF LORRAINE was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Leaving the 200m, ECHO OF THE WILD had to steady when awkwardly placed between GUS ON THE BUS and CRIMSON RANGER, which shifted out away from the crop. Jockey G Lerena was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of CRIMSON RANGER, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ECHO OF THE WILD (C Murray) when he shifted out leaving the 200m.
