THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JEWEL MULE was stubborn loading. b) GALLIC GREETING was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h05) b) Permission was granted for FONTE to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) The start of this race was delayed due to the transition from the turf track to the polytrack. d) KIM KAY and JEWEL MULE made slight contact shortly after the start. e) REDLIGHT LANE and FONTE over raced in the early and middle stages. f) TOUCH THE SWORD was directed inwards to obtain clear running at the 400m and thereafter, commenced to hang out from the 200m. g) KIM KAY was directed outwards at the 300m to obtain a clear run. h) JEWEL MULE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Mtengwana, acting on behalf of Trainer AC Greeff, was advised. (LM) FURTHER JOCKEY CHANGES/OTHER: a) HARPA (M Yeni) raced in Racing Operator's colours - Stewards' permission.
