THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MIDNIGHT SPECIAL was restless in the stalls and thereafter was slow, losing two lengths. b) LAZER LIGHT was slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) JESSICA RABBIT raced green. c) Leaving the 150m, SURREAL SONG had to ease off the heels MASTER'S LADY, which shifted out. Jockey K de Melo was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of MASTER'S LADY, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SURREAL SONG (M Yeni) when he shifted out leaving the 150m. Jockey K de Melo signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in one (1) Racemeeting. Suspension date: To be advised. d) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson reported that ELEGANT EDGE made an abnormal respiratory noise and did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. e) MASTER'S LADY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R R Magner was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) ELEGANT EDGE not striding out left hind; blowing post-race. b) JESSICA RABBIT scalp wound right hind. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
