THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PERILLA jumped awkwardly, making contact with the right-side front gate and thereafter lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) SCARLET MACAW proved difficult to settle in the early stages when racing in restricted room on the inside of MISS LADYATERIX, and the heels of LA LANDONNE. b) LIMITLESS SKY was not persevered with in the concluding stages and thereafter Apprentice D D Louw reported that this mare did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. c) HIERKOMMIEBOKKIE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D S Bosch was advised (DZ).
