THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL INFLUENCER was fractious in the stalls, rushed the front gate as the start was effected and jumped slow, losing one length. Thereafter, this gelding was slow into stride. b) TORI'S GIRL jumped awkwardly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h42) b) The Stewards reviewed the start with regard to ROYAL INFLUENCER in stall gate 1. They established that this gelding had nudged the front gates open as the start was effected but had gained no advantage and therefore took no further action. In view of the report from the Starter regarding ROYAL INFLUENCER, Stable Employee Z Xamle, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised to have this gelding re-schooled prior to his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. c) INTUITIVE SPIRIT raced wide on the turn and into the straight and thereafter, raced in isolation parallel to the outside running rail. d) At approximately the 300m, TORI'S GIRL had to be steadied momentarily and directed outwards to avoid running onto the heels of GLENALMOND, which was hanging in from the 400m. Jockey G Wright appeared before the Board and was advised to straighten his mounts sooner in similar circumstances. e) ROYAL INFLUENCER, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee Z Xamle, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (LM) FURTHER JOCKEY CHANGES/OTHER: a) *G Dookhit (INTUITIVE SPIRIT) rode +0.5kg and only claimed 2kg of his allowance. (50.4kgs) b) INTUITIVE SPIRIT (*G Dookhit) raced in Racing Operator's colours - Stewards' permission. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) GLENALMOND - coughing. b) CREPUSCOLO - coughing.
