THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WIZARDING WORLD jumped slow, losing one length and was slow into stride. b) O'FELLOW was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h27) b) MASTERONTHEMOON was hanging in in the straight. c) Jockey C Murray reported that he felt something amiss with QUIET PLACE and did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. The Stipendiary Board has exercised the provisions of Rule 49.7, and this gelding is suspended pending a Veterinary Certificate prior to its next racing engagement. Trainer D McLachlan will be advised. d) Jockey K Steyn reported that FATE OF PACE, which gave ground to the field from the 600m, choked up in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this mare. e) In view of the performance of WIZARDING WORLD, the Veterinarian was requested to examine this gelding. f) Jockey JP van der Merwe was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the carded weight on ECHO FOXTROT, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer, which resulted in a change of Rider.
