THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RUBY REX was restless in the stalls and rushed the front gates, was taken out, examined by the Veterinarian, passed situatable to race and reloaded. b) DU MAURIER was restless in the stalls and slow into stride. c) GRAVITY fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 150m, LOVE SHACK had to be steadied briefly when attempting a narrow run between HERITAGE RIDGE and RUBY REX. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that TRUE HORIZON took no interest in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this mare. c) Jockey C Murray reported that he felt something amiss with COUNTRY TIME. The Veterinarian was requested to examine this mare. d) EASY MONEY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PAW Botha was advised. (TJ) JOCKEY CHANGES: a) Nil THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) RUBY REX - stall injury. Abrasions above eyes & cut left nostril. b) TRUE HORIZON - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. c) COUNTRY TIME - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
