THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPECIAL ENVOY was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) Apprentice T Mayhew (SEVENTH FLEET) did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. Thereafter, Apprentice T Mayhew reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. c) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with BEACH WALKER in running. The Veterinarian was requested to examine. d) In view of the Veterinarian's report concerning SEVENTH FLEET, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer L Kruger, acting on behalf of Trainer D N Stenger, was advised. e) SPECIAL ENVOY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer P D Lhamini, acting on behalf of Trainers M/M de Kock, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. THE VETERINARIAN REPORTED: a) SEVENTH FLEET coughing post-race; bilateral epistaxis, recommended 60-day suspension.
