THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FULFORD (L Bester) was slow away. b) STAR RUBY (K Minnie) was unruly in the stalls and thereafter slow into stride. c) BLUE SKY MINING (*J Mphanya) was slow into stride. d) LEADER OF THE PACK (C Maujean) was unruly in the stalls. e) GET SET GO (X Ndlovu) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that GET SET GO made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) The saddle on DANCING GIRL (L Hewitson) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. c) Jockey K Minnie the rider of STAR RUBY accidentally dropped his crop in the concluding stages. d) In view of the performance of ABSOLUTELY FAB (*K Strydom), (distance 6,35 lengths, betting 51/20), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) DANCING GIRL (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
