THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HUMANITARIAN (*Y Ramzan) was nervous in the stalls. b) MISS TIMPS (*X Jacobs) was nervous and slow into stride. c) JURIST (E Webber) and ARION EXPRESS (C Maujean) were slow into stride. d) PRINCESS OF FIRE (L Bester) was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of IMPERIOUS DUKE (M van Rensburg), (distance 9,75 lengths, betting 13/4), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey G Cheyne reported that SHEZA ROCKSTAR did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) At approximately the 250m, MISS TIMPS (*X Jacobs) had to steady and switch out to avoid running onto the heels of SHEZA ROCKSTAR (G Cheyne). d) ARION EXPRESS (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
