THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MY BIG VISION (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls and lost 1 length. b) RAIN WEAR (N Patel), DUTCHESSBURNEDETTE (S Khumalo) and PERFECT DISPLAY (S Moodley) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ROCK FLIGHT (W Kennedy) was hanging out around the turn and into the straight, proving difficult to assist. b) DUTCHESSBURNEDETTE (S Khumalo) was hanging in from the 400m. c) Jockey S Moodley reported that PERFECT DISPLAY (9.60 lengths) choked up and did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey W Agrella signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse INNOGEN more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey Agrella the Board considered the number of times (13) Jockey Agrella struck the horse INNOGEN, the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey Agrella used his crop and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of R750 was imposed. e) BOOGIE SHOES (B Jacobson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G I Rich advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) PIP TO THE POST raced equipped with blinkers (advised 23.12.20/07h50). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
