THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SO LONG SPRING (*J R Syster) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Apprentice J R Syster was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck the horse SO LONG SPRING more than twelve times in the entire race. Apprentice Syster signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R2000 was imposed. When assessing the penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times (19) and Apprentice Syster's recent record with regard to this Rule and Guideline. b) SHABBA RANKS (C Maujean), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B D Botes advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) DANCEWITHADRAGON was ridden by Apprentice P Mxoli who claimed 2,5kg allowance (declared 18 December 2020 at 09H27).
