THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 450m, FSQUADRON (S Khumalo) was brushed by FOREIGN FIELD (M Yeni) which rolled in marginally. Thereafter at approximately the 100m, FSQUADRON which was ridden outwards, had to steady momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of FOREIGN FIELD which was hanging in from the 300m. b) In view of the performance of REUNION (W Kennedy) (betting 7/20, distance 3,50 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) HAVE A GO JO (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (LB). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) FOREIGN FIELD raced without blinkers (declared 31 December 2020 at 07H47). b) FSQUADRON Jockey S Khumalo weighed out at 53,9kg, 1kg over the carded weight. Jockey Khumalo was unable to draw the correct carded weight due to a medical condition which precluded him from using the sweat box.
