THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BROADWAY BABE (M Mjoka) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, MAGIC CHOICE (L Hewitson) was squeezed out between NYAKASANGA (ZIM) (*P Mxoli) and BROADWAY BABE (M Mjoka), which jumped out. b) ALMALFI COAST (C Habib) hung in throughout. c) At approximately the 200m, BAT OUT OF HELL (S Khumalo), which raced green and commenced to hang in from the 600m, had to steady and switch in to avoid the heels of CAPE DIAMOND (M Yeni), which shifted out marginally away from the crop. Thereafter, shortly after the finish line, BAT OUT OF HELL (S Khumalo), which shifted in, had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of JAM FANCY (R Munger). d) Jockey J Greyling reported that CLOUDS UNLEASHED did not stride out freely in and did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) Apprentice J Gates reported that he felt something amiss with REGENCY BALL in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) THEATRE OF DREAMS (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
