THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ROYAL SIEGE (R Munger), ELECTRA FLYING (*J R Syster) and WHITE FANG (L Hewitson) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BALL ROLLING (N Quale) brushed the inside running rail at the 1400m. b) WHITE FANG (L Hewitson) compounded from the 500m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer A Azzie was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. c) Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with WATCHING CLOSELY in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) PROFESSOR PINE (B Nyawo) compounded from the 250m. e) ELECTRA FLYING (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ICED TEA raced with a compression mask (declared 11 January 2021 at 08H32). b) WHITE FANG is a gelding, gelded 12 October 2020 (incorrectly carded). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) WHITE FANG examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) WATCHING CLOSELY fatigued. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
