THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CELTIC VISION (T Godden) was restless in the stalls. Assistant Trainer S Ferrie acting on behalf Trainer D Drier was advised to re-school this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the 200m, HUGS ACCEPTED (D Dillon) which rolled out marginally was brushed in by BIG SKY COUNTRY (R Danielson) which rolled in. Thereafter, in the concluding stages, HUGS ACCEPTED (D Dillon) which shifted out away from the crop and BIG SKY COUNTRY (R Danielson) which rolled in, came together and bumped. A race review was called into these incidents, which was followed by an objection being lodged by the Rider (D Dillon) of the second placed horse (HUGS ACCEPTED) against the winner (BIG SKY COUNTRY) on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board over-ruled the objection. In arriving at this decision, the Board took into consideration that, there were dual movements between the two horses in question. In this regard, with both incidents, HUGS ACCEPTED (D Dillon) played a role in the extent of the contact between these horses, this being the case with in particular the second incident in which, the Objection Board was of the view that HUGS ACCEPTED (D Dillon) was in fact the more significant aggressor. Consequently, the Board could not be satisfied that but for the above incidents, HUGS ACCEPTED (D Dillon) would have finished ahead of BIG SKY COUNTRY (R Danielson). Therefore it over-ruled the objection and allowed the Judge's result to stand. Jockey D Dillon's deposit was refunded. b) ALSFLAMINGBEAUTY (W Agrella) briefly dropped his right side rein shortly before the finish. c) BIG SKY COUNTRY (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
