THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BRAVE NEW WORLD (A Domeyer) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow into stride. b) ARC LAMP (G Cheyne) and CIOLLUM'S DELIGHT (G van Niekerk) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 400m Jockey K Sakayi elected to direct FOURS A CROWD in to secure a run on the inside running rail. b) At the 50m GLACIER GOLD (A Marcus) shifted out to avoid the heels of a tiring LADY CATHERINE (G Behr) and brushed MISS MILLSTREAM (R Fourie). c) In view of the performance of ARC LAMP (G Cheyne) the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) GAYLEACTIC STAR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
