THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GLORY AND SUNSHINE (T Godden) refused to jump. b) SUGAR AND SPICE (*J Jacobs) and ANCIENT STATE (*S Njokwe) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DROGARATI (*K Strydom) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. b) In the concluding stages, STANTON STREET (R Danielson) had to switch in off the heels of SUGAR AND SPICE (*J Jacobs) which was hanging out from the 150m. Apprentice J Jacobs (SUGAR AND SPICE) appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of this race and advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future. c) Apprentice S Njokwe reported that ANCIENT STATE (14.30 lengths) did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey A Arries reported that he felt something amiss with BATTLE OF STIRLING (16.05 lengths) in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GLORY AND SUNSHINE (T Godden), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 18.01.21 to the 24.01.21. GLORY AND SUNSHINE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M Prinsloo was advised.
