THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LIGHT THAT LOOSE (R Danielson) and SHINNECOCK (*G Pieterse) came together and bumped. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 900m, DI MAZZIO (AUS) (*K Strydom) had to ease when awkwardly placed between HAMPTON COURT (*T Gumede) which shifted out marginally and WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL (J Samuel) which was carried in by PRINCEKRESH (W Agrella) which shifted in whilst tracking VALIENTE (*J Jacobs) which shifted across the face of the field from the jump. Jockey W Agrella signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.8., in that as the rider of PRINCEKRESH he failed to ensure that when riding in this race over a straight course that he kept straight, parallel to the running rail and relative to his drawn position until a point not less than 200 metres from the start as indicated by the marker. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. Apprentice J Jacobs signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.8, in that as the rider of VALIENTE, he failed to ensure that when riding in this race over a straight course that he kept straight, parallel to the running rail and relative to his drawn position until a point not less than 200 metres from the start as indicated by the marker. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. b) At the 300m, SPRING HIGH (S Veale) had to ease when awkwardly placed on the outside of ALFONSA SPAGONI (*S Njokwe) which rolled out when racing awkwardly in the straight. Apprentice S Njokwe will be advised to take more care when shifting ground in races in future. c) LIGHT THAT LOOSE (R Danielson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) PACIFIC WINTER Jockey A Arries weighed out at 52.6kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight of 52kg. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
