THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SKYFIRE (D Dillon) lost 3 lengths and thereafter, was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 300m, QUE FOR YOU (G Wright) and COOL APACHE (R Danielson) were brushed in by COZY DOT COM (T Godden) which switched in when awkwardly placed on the heels of SANTA VITTORIA (AUS) (*J Jacobs) which shifted out away from the crop at the 400m. b) At the 250m, TRIP TO FREEDOM (*T Gumede) which was hanging out from the 400m, was carried in by PINA COLADA (S Randolph) which shifted in to continue its run. c) In the concluding stages, COZY DOT COM (T Godden) was carried in by INGAKARA (N Patel) which shifted in away from the crop. d) QUE FOR YOU (G Wright) was hanging in from the 400m. e) Apprentice T Gumede (TRIP TO FREEDOM) (8.35 lengths), Jockey S Moodley (CALL ME TONIGHT) (8.65 lengths) and Jockey C Storey (IL MONDO) (11.95 lengths) reported their respective mounts did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) Jockey D Dillon reported that SKYFIRE (11.65 lengths) took no interest in the running.
