THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 200m, VARS VICKY (R Simons) was brushed in by PAISLEY PARK (L Hewitson), which shifted in away from the crop. Thereafter these horses raced in close proximity and came together and brushed in the concluding stages. A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Jockey R Simons, rider of the second placed horse, VARS VICKY, against the winner, PAISLEY PARK (L Hewitson), on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Board, after hearing evidence from all relevant parties, was of the opinion that but for this incident, VARS VICKY would not have finished ahead of PAISLEY PARK and therefore overruled the objection and allowed the judges result to stand. Jockey R Simons deposit was refunded. b) PAISLEY PARK (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
