THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LIMITLESS (+A Muzanenhamo) broke through the front gates. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer P F Matchett was advised (PHvdW). b) SEA ISLAND (+T Baase) jumped outwards sharply leaving the stalls. c) LEE EXPRESS (+S Mosia) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. d) COURTNEY LEIGH (+L Matwa) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, LEE EXPRESS (+S Mosia) was carried out by SIGNED AND SEALED (+D Cooper), which in turn was brushed out by SEA ISLAND (+T Baase), which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) SIGNED AND SEALED (+D Cooper) was buffeted on a number of occasions from the 500m to the 400m when awkwardly placed between SEA ISLAND (+T Baase) and SHELTERING SKY (+T Mango). c) Work Rider D Cooper (SIGNED AND SEALED) accidentally dropped his crop at the 200m. d) Work Rider J Gwingwizha reported that MOOBHEERA (4,90 lengths) changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) LEE EXPRESS (+S Mosia) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m. f) Work Rider S Siphika signed an admission on guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck the horse FLUORESCENT more than 12 times with his crop in the entire race. He was suspended from riding in one Work Rider's race. g) ABERDARE (+S Myendeki), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee B Mngeni, acting on behalf of Trainer A G Laird, advised (RH). h) GOLDEN SPOON (+C Mabaya), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee P Dhlamini, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised (AH). WORK RIDER CHANGES: a) LADY CALAVERA was ridden by Work Rider P Mlangeni (declared 14 January 2021 at 13H07). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LEE EXPRESS raced equipped with a pressure halter (declared 14 January 2021 at 13H07). b) LADY CALAVERA raced equipped with a pressure halter (declared 20 January 2021 at 09H48). c) MOOBHEERA raced with a compression mask (declared 21 January 2021 at 08H56). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) MOOBHEERA speedy cut left hind. b) LADY CALAVERA abnormal respiratory noise.
