THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) NAVARINO BAY (*T Gumede), DEFIES LOGIC (D Dillon), KINSKEY'S TUNE (*M Zuma) and FLYING PEKAN (S Moodley) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) JACOB'S LADDER (S Veale) was hanging out between the 400m and the 200m. c) In the concluding stages, AUGUST RED (T Godden) shifted in to continue its run when awkwardly placed on the heels of NAVARINO BAY (*T Gumede) which was hanging out from the 300m and shifted out away from the crop at the 150m. d) GOTITALL (*G Pieterse) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. e) ITALIAN DYNASTY (*K Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
