THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CROME YELLOW (G van Niekerk) and MOON IN JUNE (R Khathi) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) KAMPALA CAMPARI (G Lerena) was hanging out from the 1200m. b) Jockey K de Melo, the rider of HOLY WARRIOR, reported that he felt something amiss with this gelding. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey G van Niekerk, the rider of CROME YELLOW, reported that this gelding made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. d) ATYAAB (AUS), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised.
