THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) ROCK WITH ME (W Agrella) was fractious in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
b) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with SO SMOOTH (K de Melo) (33.60 lengths) in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting on behalf of Trainer W Nel will be advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables.
c) Jockey S Randolph reported that KENTUCKY SPUR (19.00 lengths) took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
d) QUERARI'S COWBOY (*K Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P L Lunn advised (DA).

b) AL JACKMAN was ridden by Apprentice J Jacobs who did not claim his 1.5kg apprentice allowance and weighed out at 52.6kg (advised 01.02.21/08h55).
c) KENTUCKY SPUR Jockey S Randolph weighed out at 55.8kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
