THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VINSON (S Randolph) was stubborn to load. b) RALPH THE RASCAL (T Godden) and THE BAYOU (*T Gumede) lost 2 lengths, respectively. c) TOLTEC (W Agrella) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) KNIGHT WARRIOR (E Ngwane) was hanging out from the 400m. b) THE BAYOU (*T Gumede) was hanging in from the 400m. c) VINSON (S Randolph) was hanging in from the 300m. d) At the 250m, TOLTEC (W Agrella) had to switch in when awkwardly placed on the heels of TONIGHTSFIGHTNIGHT (S Veale). e) COLLABRO (*M Zuma) was hanging out from the 200m. f) The saddle on QUATTRO PASSI (C Storey) slipped sideways in the straight. This was confirmed by the Stipendiary Board. g) After the running of this Race, during the weighing in process, Apprentice T Gumede (THE BAYOU) weighed back in at more than 0.5kg below the weight that he was declared out at. Consequently, an objection was lodged by the Clerk of Scales against THE BAYOU in terms of Rule 68.2.11. After considering the evidence before the Board, the objection was upheld, and in terms of Rule 69.7, THE BAYOU was disqualified from the Race. An Inquiry will be opened into the above incident. h) VINSON (S Randolph), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A J Rivalland advised (ML). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) COLLABRO raced without blinkers (advised 02.02.21/16h58). b) RALPH THE RASCAL raced without blinkers and raced equipped with cheek pieces (advised 02.02.21/09h16). c) TOLTEC raced with a compression mask. d) COUNT MARSH Jockey G Wright weighed out at 53.5kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
