THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MOUNT GRACE (D R Lerena), this colt's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 09 February 2021 to 15 February 2021 both days included. MOUNT GRACE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M L Turner was advised B) The saddle on DEMONTE (G Cheyne) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. C) KINGS FORT (X Ndlovu) was hanging in from the 200m. D) DEMONTE (G Cheyne) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. E) Jockey S Khathi reported that he felt something amiss with JACKSWAY in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 200m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. F) Assistant Trainer K Mitchley on behalf of Trainer J J van Vuuren signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate the horse EMERALD FLOE against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. A penalty of a R1000 fine was imposed. G) Trainer E Kaknis signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 57.1.2 in that he failed to ensure that horses ST PATRICK'S FLAME and MEEEN STREAK were presented at the racecourse at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the 2nd race, which resulted in both horses having to be withdrawn. A penalty of a R4000 fine was imposed. H) The winner ATKINSON GRIMSHAW was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer G D Smith advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) WHIFFLER'S JOY Apprentice Y Ramzan (-2.5kg) replaced Jockey D Bogaleboile (07:57 - 08/02/2021). B) ATKINSON GRIMMSHAW raced equipped with a compression mask (10:05 - 03/02/2021). THERE WERE NO RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED A) JACKSWAY not striding out right fore and coughed post-race. B) WHIFFLERS JOY coughed post-race.
