THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIME SILHOUETTE (*K Matsunyane) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) SUPREME QUEST (R Danielson) and VOLTRON (L Hewitson) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly before the loading process commenced, ON CUE reared, dislodged Apprentice X Jacobs, bolted to the 1600m, was brought in hand and was reunited with Apprentice X Jacobs. ON CUE was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. b) ARCTIC SKYLINE (C Zackey) took an awkward stride at approximately the 400m, which resulted in this filly becoming severely unbalanced. In view of this report, a panel comprising of Stipendiary Stewards, the Veterinary Surgeon and two Jockeys inspected the course. Nothing untoward could be found. c) VOLTRON (L Hewitson) hung in from the 300m. d) Jockey R Munger reported that he felt something amiss with MARMALADE CUTTER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) ON CUE (*X Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (DR). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) MARMALADE CUTTER nasal discharge. SCRATCHED: a) BELLA CHICA overreach left front (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
