THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TROPICAL GIVER (M van Rensburg) and WINSTON'S NANNY (D Schwarz) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) MAUBY (L J Ferraris) hung out badly from the 400m. b) WINSTON'S NANNY (D Schwarz) over-raced in the early stages and compounded from the 400m. c) Jockey C Maujean reported he felt something amiss with GYPSY MAGIC in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 200m.
