THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) OWNYOURFATE (+V Sithetho) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
b) MISS VENEZUELA (+P Mongqawa) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
c) ESKIMO PIE (+T Baase) and RA'ED (+J Gwingwizha) were slow into stride.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Shortly after the start, RA'ED (+J Gwingwizha) was squeezed out when awkwardly placed between ESKIMO PIE (+T Baase), which jumped inwards, and OWNYOURFATE (+V Sithetho), which jumped outwards.
b) OWNYOURFATE (+V Sithetho) over-raced in the early stages, proving difficult to assist.
c) At approximately the 500m, TENDER FORCE (+S Mafethe) was carried out by OWNYOURFATE (+V Sithetho), which shifted out away from the crop.
d) Work Rider V Sithetho reported that OWNYOURFATE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
e) Work Rider S Mosia reported that SLIGHTLY SPANISH changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
f) Work Rider J Gwingwizha reported that RA'ED changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
g) LARGO BAY (+T Matsoele), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee D Manjaze, acting on behalf of Trainer G J Maroun, advised (AH).
WORK RIDER CHANGES:
a) LARGO BAY was ridden by Work Rider T Matsoele (declared 9 February 2021 at 07H04).
b) ESKIMO PIE: Work Rider T Baase weighed out at 60,5kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
c) MISS VENEZUELA: Work Rider P Mongqawa weighed out at 57,6kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
d) THE BOMB DOTCOM: Work Rider C Mabaya weighed out at 57,7kg, 0,5kg over the carded weight.
