THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MOMBELA (L Hewitson), ORAVAR (M van Rensburg) and EPIC DREAM (R Munger) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey C Maujean reported that MIRACLE FLIGHT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) In the concluding stages, SINGFORAFA (C Zackey) had to ease off the heels of EPIC DREAM (R Munger) which was carried in by BOLD RANSOM (L J Ferraris) which shifted in sharply and was immediately straightened. c) In the concluding stages, WINTER SMOKE (C Habib) was carried in marginally by BOHICA (S Khumalo) which shifted in away from the crop. d) TRUE TO LIFE (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J J van Vuuren advised (AH). e) WINTER STORIES (M Yeni), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
