THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 800m, CANDY GALORE (W Kennedy) was eased momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of TRACES (AUS) (A Marcus) which was hanging in throughout, proving difficult to assist. A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by the Rider (W Kennedy) of the third placed horse, CANDY GALORE against the second placed horse, TRACES (AUS) (A Marcus) on the grounds of interference at the 800m. After considering the evidence in this matter, the Board could not be satisfied that but for the above interference, CANDY GALORE would have finished ahead of TRACES (AUS), therefore it over-ruled the objection and allowed the Judge's result to stand. Jockey W Kennedy's deposit was refunded. Additionally, Trainer P B Muscutt was advised to take all reasonable measures in order to better manage TRACES (AUS) racing manners in future. b) COLLABRO (*M Zuma) switched out for a clear run at the 200m. c) FILIPPO (L J Ferraris), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Y Govender advised (TN). d) TRACES (AUS) (A Marcus), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P Muscutt advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) DI MAZZIO (AUS) raced without blinkers (advised 11.02.21/06h23). b) TRACES (AUS) raced with a cheek piece on the right side only (advised 11.02.21/11h28).
