There was a fair start for all runners.Approaching the 150 metre mark SILENT CRUSADE jumped for no apparent reason and landed awkwardly, unbalancing Jockey K de Melo which resulted in him being unseated. SEA URCHIN racing on the inside of SILENT CRUSADE made contact with the fallen rider which resulted in SEA URCHIN stumbling badly. A member of the Stipendiary Board, the Veterinary Surgeon, together with Track Management, inspected the area after this incident and were satisfied that there was nothing obvious in that area to have caused this incident.MARCHINGONTOGETHER raced fitted with blinkers.
