THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OSCAR WILDE (L J Ferraris) and SILVER MASTER (C Maujean) were slow losing one length. b) TALKTOTHESTARS (*C F Dicken) and HERTOG (*G Pieterse) were slow losing two lengths. c) SHORTSTOP (R Simons) refused to jump. The Starting Stall Certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of OSCAR WILDE (L J Ferraris), (betting 67/20, distance 13,75 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SHORTSTOP, this gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 17 February 2021 to 23 February 2021. SHORTSTOP may not be presented for repassing during this period. Stable Employee J Dhlamini advised (GT). c) PRINCE EVLANOFF (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A G Laird advised (AH).
