THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) WAY TO DREAM (M Yeni) was slow into stride.
b) IRISH WILLOW (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) WEDDING BLISS (P Strydom) over-raced in the early stages and thereafter Jockey Strydom reported that this filly made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine WEDDING BLISS.
b) At approximately the 600m, IRISH WILLOW (G Lerena) had to steady when awkwardly placed on the heels of AN OLD SWEET SONG (*N Klink) which resulted in this filly momentarily losing momentum.

c) Jockey M Yeni the rider of WAY TO DREAM briefly dropped his right side rein shortly before the finish line.
d) MIRREN (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen advised (DR).
e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning WEDDING BLISS, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended from racing for a period of sixty days in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Assistant Trainer V Moore advised.

RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER:
a) KISSED BY FIRE raced with a tongue tie on (declared 17 February 2021 at 17H27).
b) VENUS FLYTRAP raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 11 February 2021 at 13H50).
c) MANDHUKAI raced without blinkers, equipped with ear muffs and a compression mask (declared 17 February 2021 at 08H45).
d) JUST MAGIC raced equipped with pacifiers (declared 16 February 2021 at 09H14).
e) ELECTRIC BOOTS raced equipped with blinkers (declared 18 February 2021 at 08H33).
f) WAY TO DREAM raced with a tongue tie on (declared 18 February 2021 at 07H54).
THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED:
a) WEDDING BLISS knocked itself right hind pastern and bilateral epistaxis. Recommended 60 day suspension. Assistant Trainer V Moore advised (TL).
b) AN OLD SWEET SONG abnormal respiratory noise and coughing.
c) JUST MAGIC coughing.
THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
