THE STARTER REPORTED
A) DANCING GIRL and ROMAN ROYALTY (AUS) were slow into stride.
B) THERECANBEONLYONE refused to jump. The starting stalls certificate for this filly is withdrawn.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) ROMAN ROYALTY (AUS) (M V'Rensburg) over-raced in the early stages.
B) DANCING GIRL (J Gates) over-raced in the stages and thereafter compounded from the 200m.
C) Jockey A Andrews reported that GRANADILLA did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
D) In view of the Starter's report with regard to THERECANBEONLYONE (K Steyn), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable to jump on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 20 February 2021 to 26 February 2021 both days included. THERECANBEONLYONE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer J V A Strydom was advised.
E) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning THERECANBEONLYONE (K Steyn), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority for an indefinite period. In terms of Rule 49.7, a veterinary certificate for THERECANBEONLYONE, must be submitted to the Veterinary Department of the National Horseracing Authority, before it can be entered for a race. THERECANBEONLYONE must also gallop for the NHRA veterinary department after which, if found fit to race, will be sent for specimen collection for analysis. Trainer J V A Strydom was advised
