THE STARTER REPORTED
A) SCOLDING was stubborn loading and slow into stride. The starting stall certificate for this mare is withdrawn.
B) WINTER FIVE was nervous in the stalls.
C) REB BERRY was slow into stride, slow away and lost 2 lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED
A) The saddle on TRIPPIN THE STARS (M V'Rensburg) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Stewards.
B) RED BERRY (G Cheyne) shifted out away from the crop from the 200m.
C) Jockey C Maujean reported that SCOLDING did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
D) After the running of this race, Jockey A Andrews was stood down by the Course Medical Officer due to a foot injury, Rule 25.12 does not apply.
E) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SCOLDING (C Maujean), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 30 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 20 February 2021 to 22 March 2021 both days included. SCOLDING may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer E Kaknis was advised.
F) The winner RED BERRY was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer A C Greeff advised (LM).
G) The second placed horse LOOKS LIKE MAGIC was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer S B Kotzen advised (LM).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES
A) WINTER FIVE Jockey A Andrews (+0.5kg) replaced Jockey S Fortune (07:43 - 19/02/2021).
B) VALERIANA raced equipped with alumites front, unshod behind and with a compression mask (13:03 - 15/02/2021)
