Trainer P Peter will be advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on return to the stables. c) In view of the performances of SMOKE SIGNAL (A Mgudlwa) (55.30 lengths, 100/1 in the betting) and STANLEY SREET (S Randolph) (18.20 lengths, 100/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey A Marcus signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse GRIMALDI more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey A Marcus the Board considered the number of times (15) Jockey A Marcus struck the horse GRIMALDI, the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey A Marcus used his crop and his record (1) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R750 was imposed. e) Jockey D Dillon signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he struck the horse CORAL COPY more than 12 times in the entire race. In deciding what action to take against Jockey D Dillon the Board considered the unacceptable number of times (23) Jockey D Dillon struck the horse CORAL COPY, the distance over which and manner in which, Jockey D Dillon used his crop and his record (0) in relation to this Rule.
