THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KOOPA TROOPA (S Moodley) was stubborn to load. Trainer L Forbes was advised to re-school this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) GYPSY MAGIC (W Kennedy) was brushed in at the 150m, and thereafter in the concluding stages, by SIMPLY COMPLICATED (A Marcus) which was hanging in, in the final straight, proving difficult to assist. A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward into this incident. In view of the result of this race, no further action was taken. b) Jockey L Ferraris reported that PRINCESS MAXI (28.90 lengths) did not stride out freely and made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Trainer P Lafferty (PRINCESS MAXI) will be advised that his runner failed to adequately parade and that should this filly behave similarly in future, it may be suspended. d) Trainer P Lafferty signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 11.2.8, in that he presented PRINCESS MAXI in the parade ring incorrectly equipped for this race. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. e) PANNA COTTA (*K Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Forbes advised (SC). f) SIMPLY COMPLICATED (A Marcus), placed third, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Trott acting on behalf of Trainer S J Snaith advised (ML). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) SIMPLY COMPLICATED raced with cheek pieces (advised 22.02.21/10h46). b) MISS EMBLEM raced without blinkers (advised 21.02.21/07h36). c) PANNA COTTA raced with a compression mask.
