THE STARTER REPORTED A) TWICE AS CORAGEOUS was withdrawn by the Starter, bolted. B) GRACE LIGHTNING was stubborn loading and unruly. C) SILENT OBSERVER was stubborn loading. D) OLD GLORY was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) TWICE AS CORAGEOUS (R Munger) refused to canter to the start and had to be led by a Handler. Thereafter, TWICE AS CORAGEOUS bolted the course and was subsequently withdrawn. Trainer D A McKenzie on behalf of Trainer S B Kotzen was advised that, in terms of Rule 93.2.4, this filly is suspended until such time as she proves tractable whilst cantering to the start, on a race day. B) In the concluding stages, SILENT OBSERVER (L Mxothwa) which shifted out away from the crop and CRUZADOR (L Hewitson) came together and brushed. C) Jockey L Hewitson signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 25.3.1 in that he failed to present his Medical Record Book to the Clerk of Scales at least 60 minutes before the official starting time of the first race in which he had an engagement. A penalty of a warning was imposed.
