THE STARTER REPORTED: a) MASTER OF LAW (P Strydom) reared in the stalls. b) KUUMA (*J Solomons) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) GLOBAL VISION (C Maujean) and TINDER DRY (R Simons) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLOBAL VISION (C Maujean) and NOBLE STRIKER (W Kennedy) raced green. b) Jockey B Nyawo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he struck KOTINOS more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey B Nyawo signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1000-00 was imposed. When assessing this penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times the crop was used (13) and the fact that he won the race. c) KOTINOS (B Nyawo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
