THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, ROYAL WULFF (B Nyawo) broke through the front gates and was returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was scratched. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Stable Employee B Mngeni, acting on behalf of Trainer A G Laird, advised (GT). b) FLYING BULL (W Kennedy) was stubborn loading. c) PURPLE DOMINANCE (J Gates) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report, SILVER SEA is indefinitely suspended in terms of Rule 93.1. Veterinary report required prior to entry. SILVER SEA is also required to gallop for the NHA veterinary department on a race day, after which, if found sound, will be sent for specimen collection for analysis. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ROYAL WULFF, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 28th February 2021 to 06th March 2021. ROYAL WULFF may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Stable Employee B Mngeni, acting on behalf of Trainer A G Laird, advised. c) BURNING ICE (*J Solomons), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
