THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OUR WORLD (L Mxothwa), HOST OF ANGELS (K de Melo) and SERIOUS FUN (O Noach) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) HIEMS VENIT (S Cele) pulled hard in the early stages, raced clear of the field and tired from the 250m. b) At the 100m ENCHANTED CREEK (D Ashby) rolled in and had to be checked away from the heels of a tiring HIEMS VENIT (S Cele) c) Jockey K de Melo, the rider of HOST OF ANGELS, reported that this filly made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockeys R Fourie and J Bekker, the riders of GOLLY MISS MOLLY and COLONNADE respectively, reported that these fillies did not stride out freely in the running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. e) TALLAHASSEE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GS Kotzen was advised.
