THE STARTER REPORTED A) TWICE TO HEAVEN was slow into stride. B) JET BOMBER was stubborn loading, slow away and lost 3 lengths. C) SHEEBA DARLING was slow into stride. D) AMERICAN SILK was nervous and kicked the back gate in the stalls. E) DERECHO was slow into stride. F) SOUND CHECK was stubborn loading. G) ALL THINGS NICE was stubborn loading. Trainer G D Smith was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) DERECHO (K Minnie) was reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led by a handler. Trainer A C Greeff was advised that should this filly behave similarly in future it may be suspended. B) SOUND CHECK (G Cheyne) was brushed in on a number of occasions by ALL THINGS NICE (*Y Ramzan) which raced green, shied away from the grand stands and was hanging in from the 400m. C) The winner SOUND CHECK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer A C Greeff advised (LM).
